Family connection-  Uncle Albert & Aunt Josephine dad's brother

Joseph Kropovitch, born  about 1891 in poland. He married Mary Czerkes, born in poland about 1894. she immigrated to the US in 1910  and Joseph about 1911. They married in 1913 and lived in Duryea Pa. Parents of my aunt Josephine Simchick, wife of Albert Simchick. 
 
Mary died in the late 1960's in Bryant NY, it is unknown where she is buried.  At one time in her life She lived with her youngest daughter Annie.  Mary was described  as a warm and friendly lady. She spoke only polish and loved to cook.
 
Information obtained from census reports & other documents.
 
Joseph and Mary had 6 children:  Joseph -born in 1913/1914, Duryea PA. He served in the military  17 Oct 1942 at age 29, joined up in Wilkes-Barre Pa.  He was a coal miner/laborer  and died possiblly from black lung disease at a very young age. He was married, unknown at this time to whom.
 
Charles Kropovitch , born 1915  in Duryea Pa, joined the military in Buffalo NY at age 28  9 jan 1943. He died in Buffalo NY Aug 1980. he was a farmer/laborer. Charles married Pauline. Daughter Anna Marie says Her father Charles worked for Bethehem steel with my uncle Albert Simchick. They lived in a double house  in Lackawanna, Uncle Albert, wife Josephine and children Maryann, Paula & Ron lived upstairs, while the Kropovitch family lived down stairs. they later moved to West Seneca, lived on Carriage park, down the street from each other
 
Helen, Kropovitch  born in 1917 Duryea PA. She married Steve Georgic. he died 8 July 1976 from kidney failure. Helen and Steve had 4 children: Robert, Charles, Steve and  David. Helen is buried in Holy cross cemetery in Lackawanna NY.
 
Josephine Thresa Kropovitch , born 20 Apr 1920 in Duryea PA, she died 27 Sept 2000 in west seneca Buffalo  NY. She married Albert Simchick and they had 3 children, Maryann, Paula and Ronald.  Josephine is my father Joe Simchick-Karban's   brother Alberts wife. 
 
 Both Josephine and Albert are buried at the Hillcrest  cemetery in hamburg ny.  Albert passed away in 2004.. In 1943 Josephine lived on 44 Bethlehem Lackawanna NY and later on moved to  260 Carriage park, west seneca NY with her husband Albert Simchick and kids.
 
Alex .P  Kropovitch , born in 1923, duryea Pa, he died 31 July 1991  at age 68, in west seneca NY. He married Eleanor, born 21 Apr 1930. Alex served in the military, joined up 19 Mar 1943 at age 20 from Pa. He is buried at hillcrest cemetery in hamburg ny.
 
 
Anna  Kropovitch , born 1927 in duryea pa. she married William O'dell and they have two sons.

Anna Kropovitch, on a recent trip with her mother to pa, found this headstone. quite possible, this is Joseph Kropovitch, husband or young son of Mary Czerkes.

Mary Kropovitch was a small gal, she spoke polish and she had diabetics, which caused her to lose both legs. She was living at one time, with her youngest daughter Annie in Bryant ny. Mary was described as warm and friendly

 

 

Joseph Kropovitch,    he was married, wife’s name unknown at this time.

 

 

Alex Kropovitch    was 68 years old when he died, buried at the Hillcrest cemetery in hamburg NY, #6 sec BJ lot 63. Funeral handled by Curttin funeral home 1340 union road west Seneca ny. His wife Eleanor as of 2006 was living in west seneca ny on 160 green meadow drive.

 

 

Helen Kropovitch married Steve Georgic, steve died 8 July 1976 fro kidney failure. Helen also had diabetes’s and her legs were becoming infected. She refused to let the doctors do anything. She lived a lone on 18 Beech st and apparently fell while getting out of the bath tub. They had 4 kids, Robert born about 1943 he married Diane Shear, later divorced and he married Nancy. Robert and Diane’s children were Cathy born 1966 and Holly in 1970.

 

 Charles born 1945 in Lackawanna ny, he died 4 feb 1987 in an auto accident. Charles was married to Roberta Dianne Freay, now goes by Dianne Georgic brown. They have two children Timothy Charles Georgic born 29 Jan 1969 and Kristen Melanie Georgic born 13 July 1971 Stevev Georgic born 1947, he married Joan Holmes, they had 3 children: Tiffany nov 1973, Jessica June 1977 and Mitchell Jun 1981. David Alexander Georgic born 1952, he had a son named Alex.

 

 

Charles Kropovitch   married, Pauline, she was born in 1929 and lives in west senca NY

 

 

Josephine Kropovitch- Simchick, Is buried in the Hillcrest cemetery Hamburg NY, with her husband Albert Simchick, her funeral was handled by the colonial chapel in Lackawanna ny. Burial was 29 Sept 2000. She was 80 years old.
