Vincent Henry Kayes of Pines Healthcare and Rehab clinic, formerly of 315 S 7th ave Olean NY died following a short illness.

He was the son of the late James A Kayes and Nora Kuhn Kayes. Vincent married Beatrice Shattuck daughter of George and Mary Shattuck, on 3 Nov 1934, she passed away 25 Aug 1989. Vincent worked for the PA railroad for several years and was employed by St Mary's church until his retirement.

He was a member of St Mary of the angels church and modern woodsman's association. Surviving are a brother Fred Kayes and his wife Evelyn of Olean. Vincent is predeceased by five brothers : Richard, James, Joseph, Patrick and Bernard Kayes and two sisters: Helen Seager and Mary Batesky.

James son of Dennis and Catherine Kayes married Eleanora  Kuhn  25 Nov 1908 in St Marys church olean ny. They lived in Olean  Cattaragus county NY.             Children of James  & Eleanora  Kayes

 

Richard James  Kayes- born 5 Aug 1909 in NY died 1969

 

Vincent Henry Kayes- born 12 Sept 1911 born  in Olean ny- died 14 Jun 2005 Olean ny. He married Beatrice Bell Shattuck.

 

Helen Evangeline Kayes- born Nov 1913- died Nov 1969 She married Edward Seager.

 

Patrick Dennis Kayes- born 30 Jan 1916 in NY - died Oct 1978. He married Angeline Wallon and had 4 children: Patrick- Michael-Joseph and Carol.

 

Bernard Charles  Kayes- born 3 Jul 1922 in NY- died 10 Oct 2003 VA hospital  in  Erie County . He enlisted in  the army  10 Dec 1942 in Buffalo NY and served during WW2, he was a TEC4 (sgt). Bernard married Lucille Lippert , she died 28 Oct 2001. They had 4 children: Bernard Jr-( married Dianna)- Michael-( married Katherine), James-( married Lisa)  and Richard.

Mary Annabelle  Kayes- born 6 Apr 1924 in NY- 22 Jan 2001 Olean ny, married  Joseph J. Batesky 2 Aug 1924-Aug 1976

 

Joseph Boniface Kayes- born 22 Mar 1925 in NY- died 1995 in Olean NY. He had CP

 

Frederick  Bonaventure  Kayes- born in NY  17 Mar 1928 he married Evelyn.  They have  4 children: Michael Hopkins, Patty, Theresa and Nora.
