The rose bowl is seven miles of playing and marching, as the band moves closer to the rose bowl parade New years day 1969, they also practice and march seven miles daily . CPT Ruth E Glaspey, Commander and the 51 women, said the seven mile march maneuver on the first day of 1969 will be more than a routine parade or practice march at Ft McClellan..

The band was invited  to perform in the 1969 Rose bowl parade. They will also be on a two week tour, performing at Disneyland. Las Vegas and San Diego. The band practiced everyday, taking hikes with their instruments, picking remote areas and odd hours so they did not conflick with traffic.
