Alfred Kohn, born 17 Jun 1904 in  Konigshofen germany. He was the son of Salie Kohn born 26 May 1867 in germany and Julia Bosowitz. She was born in germany  4 July 1876. She was the daughter of Jacob Boscowitz and Sabine Spaeth. Sallie owned a haberdashery clothing store and lived over the store. The town goes back to 1721, a small town with a wall around it.

Alfred attended textile college in Reutlingen, wurtenburg germany, he also worked as a book keeper for a knitting factory.

Alfred married Paula Kamnitzer and they had three children: Barbara, Doris and Steven. The family lived in Bronx NY. Alfred and Paula met at a jewish social club in NY. Alfred owned  a business selling hand knit baby clothes and other knit items. When the machines came on the scene, he gave up the business.

Alfred when he was younger, worked for the Guild for jewish blind. He invented machines that the blind could operate and he supervised that. he was also the director of the shelter workshop.

Alfred also had two sisters, Martha Kohn born in germany 25 June 1900, she died in 2002. She married Adolf Haas, he was born 13 oct 1894 and died 14 dec 1954.  Paula Kohn, born 25 Sept 1901 in germany, died in 2005. She was married to Fritz Laubhiem. he was born 28 Aug 1905 and died 27 Aug 1971.

Steven Kohn, born in the bronx. Steve was a english teacher in a middle school in the bronx, he is now retired. Steven was a blessing to doris and barbara, as he would watch over their aging parents, Alfred and Paula who were in their 90's and in a nursing home. He would help them with things  they had difficulty with.  Barbara and doris lived far away, steve was about 10 minutes away, and knowing steve was there to take care of them, they felt alfred and Paula were in good hands.
