ARMY, SGT, enlisted in
1942. Awarded the Silver Star for Gallantry in action, served in France two years. He served with the medical dept.
He aided and evacuated 24 serious casualties while under heavy motar fire. He refused assistance and help because of the great
danger. also awarded the bronze star Battle of the bulge.

Luzon. attended Military school for Teletpye AAB. awarded the Good Conduct medal, philippines liberation,
American campaign and the victory medal. First Class Gunners badge with submarine gun and Marksman w/carbine.

KALMANOWICZ FAMILY
Adam Kalmanowicz, son of Antionetta of Exter PA was reported missing
over the Alantic Ocean, after leaving Mitchel Fleid in NY on patrol duty over the Altantic, as reported by the War Dept. His
plane was not seen or heard from since then. LT Kalmanowicz had recently earned his wings. Adam
was commissioned a 2nd LT in Albany GA, following recent exercises there and earned his wings and became a navigator in the
US Army Air Corps. He graduated from Exeter HS and Penn State and earned his degree. Before enlisting in the army, adam
worked for the US Forest service in Petersham Mass.

Brother of Albert Genesky
John Genesky died in 25 Apr 1952. he
was fly fishing in the Lackawaxen river PA, at Kimbles in pike county. flood gates opened and he slipped on the rocks
as he casted out and was not able to get out of the water. the currant was too swift and he drowned.
John joined the Army in 1951, he was home leave before going to Korea. John was assigned to the corp of engineers and construction
unit.

as a ships steward WW2 aboard the ship USS Ludlow. he also served in the reserves
